Gotcha!

Usaha itu tangga kejayaan.

Jerry was finally captured!

After 3 days of laying low, he finally succumbed to the lure of kepala ikan gelama kering. It was probably too irresistible for Jerry to ignore it or the animal could've been too damn hungry!

Anyway, I'm glad that it was over. Now I can sleep well at night. Phew!

Teh tarik satu!

Sekian.

Mouse trap fail

The trap was laid out. Seketul kepala (more like parts of it) ikan cencaru was sticked on it. I had my hopes high that night.

Alas, Jerry was nowhere to be found this morning. The trap was unsuccessful. Hubby said, nevermind, he'll try to get ikan gelama masin for the second trap.

Gagal sekali bukan bermakna gagal selama-lamanya.

Catch me if you can

Someone or rather something is trying to play mind games on me. A mysterious entity has somewhat left its indelible mark on the bathroom floor. It all began a few days ago when I noticed the perforated lid on the bathroom floor (where water goes down) was slightly open. I always make it a point to close it before calling it a night. It has become a routine which I seldom miss to do.

However, a few days ago, I went downstairs to the bathroom adjacent to the kitchen to have a pee that morning since our link bathroom was occupied by the husband. Imagine my shock when the lid was partially open like someone had purposely done it. So when I asked the kids if they had used the toilet the night before, they immediately shook their heads.

This unusual occurence had me dumbfounded for days. To further enhance the myterious surroundings, there was no signs of leftover food or anything scattered around the place that could connect it to the one thing that had crossed my mind - a sneaky rodent!

Fed up with this hide and seek game, I decided to play CSI by placing a pail with half-filled water on top of the lid just as I was about to head to bed. The next morning, what I discovered was a small portion of anti-slippery mat being gnawed or nibbled by something and pieces of it scattered on the bathroom floor. I took pictures of the evidence and sent it via MMS to the husband to find out what he thinks. His answer confirmed my all along suspicion.

So tonight, I'm going to set a trap to catch the elusive furry creature once and for all. That ikan cencaru I had planned to cook tonight will certainly come in handy. I was told that rats love kepala ikan goreng.

Siaplah ko malam ini Jerry!

Jerry did not only gnaw the floor mat, he also viciously attacked my food containers. where's that bloody Tom when you need him huh?...ish3x

The mom song

Here's another song exclusively sung for all mommies out there. Enjoy!

All about a woman named Mom

A MOTHER

A Mother does not come with instructions attached titled, “How a mother should be”
There are no numbered, lettered parts to put together in sequence.
She does not come with all the right knowledge or all the right tools.
There will always be parts left over and more to learn.
She gathers them all along the journey,
And assembles her love that began even before you were born.
If you are lucky, you will have many mothers.
They will come to you in many forms along your way.
You will learn much of who you can be from this journey.
With her, you will learn, when she is there and when she is not.
Maybe more so when she is not.
She may be happy, she may be sad.
She may be a lunatic or a genius.
She will be all these things at one time or another
or all at the same time, On the same day, in one hour or one minute.
She will be different from you and she will be like you.
She will have a part of you and you will have a part of her, from birth.
Alive or dead, Away or near, in love or in hate,
She will always be there, there will always be more....
When she is gone from this physical, living world,
Her spirit will dance, tantalizing, lovingly, in your bones, forever.
You get to choose to let it torment you or set you free.
Her bite will be loving; even harsh words a caress.
She is there to watch over you, to hold you when you need comfort
To warn you when danger is near.
She will feed you and provide for you as best as she is able,
Soothe your hurts, pick you up and dry your tears.
If you will let her, she will do this all your life.
With courage, love and sometimes fear.
What she fears, she may never show you.
What she loves, you have to seek.
When you find and accept both,
Your hearts may rest together in love and peace.

(...poem was stolen from here...)

Every year, on that particular day of the month, without fail, there'd be that one special human being we'd like to tell the whole wide world how much she means a lot to us and all the million things she did for us that had shaped us the way we are today.

And just so happen that day is today.

Happy Mother's Day!

The M word

Ermm no, I'm not talking about the upcoming Mother's Day celebration which happens to be in this month nor am I affiliated with Astro's Hallmark channel in organising Mother's Day activities. I'm talking about mankind's worst disease ever and they have yet to find a cure for it since time immemorial. Yes, the dreaded MALAS disease!

The definition of MALAS in english:-
  • lazy
  • slothful
  • idle
  • sluggish
  • indolent
  • inactive
which perfectly described me as being right now. Which is also why this blog is inundated with witless pictorial of me in various photoshop poses hence the previous post. I sincerely apologize to my good readers who had to endure a 5 minutes of intense agony by looking at the pictures of a twisted narcissist. Not only had I tortured their souls, I had completely ruined history's most famous personalities by altering their faces and pasted it with mine. Poor Monalisa. She was totally clueless :P

I assure you that this is only temporary while I try to get my mojo back. Till then.

*Oh, just so you know, I'm trying to beat  this fler in World's 10 Most Laziest Blogger. I'm currently in the 5th anak tangga already. Woo hoo!
